About the Author
Swami Muktibodhananda, Swami Muktibodhananda Saraswati was born on 8th December 1959 in Melbourne, Australia. From Childhood she was drawn to the disciplines of yogic Sadhana and ashram life. At the age of seventeen she went to India to live with her guru, Swami Satyananda Saraswati. Her obedience to guru, dedication and steadfastness in sadhana have been unswerving.
She has done Research into two Ancient yogic texts, Swara Yoga - The Tantric Science of Brain Breathing and this Commentary on the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. She is well versed in the scientific as well as traditional aspects of yoga. This work represents the fruition of her guru\'s unlimited WISDOM in interpreting and illumining the ancient hatha yoga Texts for people of today.
In 1985 Swami Muktibodhananda returned to Australia and established the Melbourne Yoga Therapy Centre. She now lives and teaches yoga in Melbourne.
